This website was a 2011 Webby Award Winner for “Best Navigation/Structure.” It has a lot to offer besides that, though. It provides the history of various inventions that we too often take for granted. We don’t think about the ingenuity required to bring them about. Things like bubble wrap, flip flops, the zipper, the light bulb. . .
From the home page you can select which inventions most interest you and then take a self-guided tour of this online exhibit.
Once your exhibit starts, make sure you take advantage of all the “clicking” options available to you. There’s a lot of fun information available to you.
